Accounting Specialist in Plainfield, IN.

Summary:

The Accounting Specialist tracks customer payments, conducts settlements, records payment information and issues customer invoices

Responsibilities:

  • Input driver’s sales information for settlement process
  • Send customers copies of invoices
  • Track payments made by customers
  • Help the accounting specialist with month end closing duties
  • Input sales information into the companies accounting system
  • Assist with counting vehicle inventory
  • Answer customer calls when needed
  • Audit and revise old invoices
  • Other accounting/office duties as needed

Requirements:

  • Math skills – The ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, calculate percentages, rations and averages
  • Technical capacity – Ability to use a PC and various office equipment including but not limited to email, printer, scanner and p hone. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel in order to create and modify complex spreadsheets
  • Language skills – Ability to read and interpret English documents. Ability to write routine English reports and correspondence. Ability to speak English effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Spanish is a plus
  • Reading skills – Ability to read and understand directions, short notes, brief forms, detailed forms, memos and letters
  • Writing skills – Ability to write short notes, brief forms, instructions, memos, letters, detailed forms, or non-standard letters
  • Interpersonal skills – Ability ot interact effectively with others inside and outside of the company for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships or soliciting cooperation
  • Must have 6 months to a year of related experience and/or training

Compensation:

  • $15-$18 an hour based on experience

Shift:

  • 8am-4:30pm
