Buyer Planner in Fort Mill, SC. 


  • Execution of the planning and procurement of raw materials to support production requirements through the utilization of (Material Requirements Planning) MRP and other planning tools
  • Collaborates and coordinates activities with the production planning team to ensure 100% on-time delivery by establishing and monitoring the production schedule to proactively identify and address any issues
  • Evaluates and acts upon the MRP requirements and Kanban levels for assigned commodities
  • Analyze Engineering changes to determine the affectivity date of the change
  • Maintain strong working relationships and communications with manufacturing and key suppliers to confirm production/shipping schedules and monitor open purchase orders and demand spikes for all orders to ensure on-time deliveries
  • Inventory Management: Support reporting, inventory turns, reduction and safety stock percentage measurements, Product Life Cycle management
  • Processes and maintains a variety of documents related to orders, receipts and GR/IR to insure on time payments to Vendors
  • Assists with continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers and internal partners
  • Assists with root cause/corrective action resolution due to supplier non-conformance


  • Communicate priorities to vendors
  • Expedite critical parts to meet production schedules
  • Train vendors on the Supplier portal
  • Inventory management and procurement
  • Reduce Excess and Obsolete of their parts
  • Manage the engineering change requests


  • Bachelor Degree required
  • 1 year experience as a buyer or expeditor preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Manage various tasks at the same time
  • Must be very proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) with intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems is a plus.
  • Holding a CPIM, CPM, or CPSM designation is a plus
  • Comply with all work instructions as determined by ISO standards
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
  • Ability to lift up to 45 pounds independently


  • $21 an hour ​ ​
