Maintenance Technician Summary: 

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for setting up, repairing, and troubleshooting facility machinery and equipment. Additional responsibilities may include installing and maintaining equipment, performing preventative maintenance and repairs, and applying knowledge in a variety of skilled trade areas.

Maintenance Technician  Responsibilities: 

  • Create and maintain a TPM schedule
  • Maintaining all equipment within the facility including but not limited to the plumbing, electrical, production and facility machines, HVAC, etc.
  • Perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes
  • Install, maintain, and repairs machines and equipment in plants and related facilities
  • Performs a variety of preventative maintenance on parts, pumps, motors, hydraulic systems, and related plant and facility equipment
  • Performs a variety of maintenance requiring knowledge of plumbing, pipefitting, carpentry, electrical, electronics, welding, and other skilled trades as appropriate or applicable
  • Operates a variety of hand and power tools, equipment, and machinery in the maintenance, repair, and fabrication of parts, machines and equipment
  • Maintenance technician must complete work orders and paperwork regarding daily maintenance and repair duties.
  • Assists with inspecting the plant and related facilities for mechanical and equipment problems, reviews and examines areas, and determines appropriate action(s); assists with contractors and sub-contractors
  • Ensures compliance with operating policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment and efficient operations; may require the employee to wear safety equipment or gear
  • Assists with maintaining a clean and safe working environment and may perform various janitorial or housekeeping tasks
  • Communicates with production, quality control, warehousing, and other departments to maintain a safe and effective environment and to ensure quality products
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management

Maintenance Technician Requirements: 

  • Experience working in embroidery
  • Experience with minor electrical, pneumatic, hydraulics, and HVAC
  • Maintenance technician must have previous experience in maintenance within a production and warehouse facility preferably in the screen-printing industry
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools, welding experience a plus
  • Experience working with blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals
  • Good knowledge of state and local safety codes
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Related Technical/Maintenance Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 years general production facility experience
  • Maintenance Technician must be HVAC Certified
  • Knowledge in screen-printing a plus

Maintenance Technician Salary:

  • $17/hour
  • Overtime is available and mandatory when needed
