Maintenance Technician in Indianapolis, IN

Summary of Maintenance Technicians: 

The Maintenance Technician works within the facility to troubleshoot, repair, and install equipment and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities of Maintenance Technicians:

  • Performs preventive maintenance on equipment and mechanical systems
  • Installs and modifies mechanical equipment and automated systems
  • Troubleshoots, repairs and maintains mechanical equipment & mechanical systems
  • Identifies malfunction of machinery and mechanical systems
  • Disassembly of equipment
  • Repairs and replaces structural components
  • Uses a wide variety of hand, power, and machine tools to perform assignments
  • Supports production staff through useful and timely assistance and repairs
  • Accomplishes all work in orders to maintain safety, reduce downtime, improve quality production, and improve plant efficiency
  • Ensures all equipment documentation is complete and adequately processed
  • Maintains and updates control documents as needed

Requirements of Maintenance Technicians:

  • High School diploma/GED
  • Required knowledge of skilled trades
  • 3+ years Industrial Maintenance experience is required
  • Experience reading and understanding electrical schematics; and mechanical blueprints are required
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with a manufacturing department
  • Must be mechanically inclined
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills
  • Experience with industrial equipment maintenance
  • An understanding of necessary industrial electrical aptitude
  • PLC troubleshooting skills are required
  • Welding (any type)
  • Experience with machine shop equipment and tools
  • A Technical Diploma

Shift:

3rd shift hours, 11 pm to 7:30 am

Pay:

$17 an hour to $19 an hour – with $2 shift differential
