National Hire a Veteran Day, July 25, is a day to call employers to action to hire and promote qualified veterans. Here are some top employment resources for veterans reentering the workforce. These sites also highlight the benefits and high value of veterans for employers.

These are resources for both employers and veterans, including a site that helps locate nonprofits focused on supporting veterans.

INvets is a nonprofit organization founded by veterans that helps former service members transition to civilian life by connecting them with Indiana employers and providing career-building resources.

Kentucky Veterans Employment, Training and Support Program (KyVETS)

The Kentucky Veterans Employment Training and Support Program (KyVETS) collaborates with companies, chambers of commerce, community organizations, military installations, and state agencies to develop a strategic talent pipeline for veteran employment and recruitment opportunities in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.  Serving as a platform for “Veteran Employment Advocacy and Training,” KyVETS strives to breakdown cultural barriers and obstacles many veterans face when navigating the civilian workforce environment and connects you with education and training services designed to help you transition to civilian life.
