INDIANAPOLIS – Jan. 23, 2020 – Morales Group Staffing announced today that Tom Morales will pull back his role as CEO, after co-founding and leading the inclusive, community-focused organization for 17 years. Current President and Chief Operating Officer Seth Morales will succeed him as CEO, beginning the second generation of family leadership.

Tom Morales will continue to serve as Chairman and will transition his focus to the expansion of his philanthropy and community endeavors. This will include an emphasis on Morales Group’s newly minted workforce development foundation, Project Azul.

“If there’s any legacy I want to leave, it’s that I am a man of faith,” Tom Morales said. “My prayers are for Seth to walk in humility and grace as he steps into this new leadership role, and that he continues to lead with compassion for those around him.”

Tom founded Morales Group in 2003 as a way to bridge resources and opportunities to the Hispanic community. His innovations in the staffing industry include a business model rooted in workforce development meant to advance associates, as well as the fierce promotion of diversity in the workplace.

“My father has always been intentional about the philanthropic impact and direction he wanted for this organization,” said Seth Morales. “Morales Group is a cause disguised as a company because Tom chose to make it a cause. I’m proud of the legacy of servant leadership we built together, and I’m honored to live out that vision and lead our organization.”

Successor Seth Morales cultivated the company alongside his father Tom, joining in 2005, eventually rising to the role of Chief Operations Officer and President.

Under the family’s leadership, the organization prospered with rapid growth to over 4,000 internal and external team members and 11 offices across five states. Morales Group consistently received industry recognition including Best Places to Work in Indiana by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce — earning the title six times to date.

The duo pioneered a culture of service that sets Morales Group apart. The self-development program combines employee recognition and paid community service hours to create a reward focused on the mission of Morales Group. Qualifying members earn a mission trip to Mazatlán, México, responsible for the construction of 16 homes for families in need.

Tom Morales has gained widespread respect for his advocacy and leadership for refugees and underserved communities. He is involved with the boards for Elevate Indy, YWAM, and IU Cancer Center. He lectures around the country on immigration issues and was recently honored as a Purdue University Old Master.

Seth Morales earned his degree at Purdue University, where he was a three-year starter and honorary captain of the Big Ten Championship Football team, and his MBA at the University of Notre Dame. In addition to his key role at Morales Group, Seth serves on the boards of St. Vincent Health System, YPO, TrueU and Indiana Latino Institute.
