Morales Group Staffing Gives Back To Our Community, One Story At A Time

Helping our community members is the way of life at Morales Group Staffing, and creating a culture of service that gives back is at the forefront of what we do. When we say we’re a cause disguised as a business, we’re intentional with our actions. Our mission of building better futures doesn’t stop with staffing.

Simply put, we love our community and know that the power of outreach can create a lasting ripple-effect that impacts the lives of many. Through our Community Impact Pillars, networks built through our Morales Unidos Network (MUN), and building better futures (literally) for families that need them most in Mazatlán, Mexico, we’re able to help make a difference that can be felt for generations.

Here are five (5) ways that Morales Group Staffing gives back:

Our Outreach Pillars: Social Good, Skill Enhancement and Service, are designed to help visualize how we give our time, talent, and devotion to building better futures. Some of our partners fall into one specific pillar, and others provide support in all three pillars. We consider these partners our core Morales Group partners.

Social Good Pillar represents organizations we work with that provide basic-needs support. These partners empower our community members by offering access to vital resources. Maybe we have a community member who needs housing for their family or mental health services, this pillar aims to shift our neighbors to a point where they can thrive, instead of simply surviving. Some examples of these organizations we partner with are: Gleaner’s Food Bank, Salvation Army, Kentucky Refugee Ministries, and more.

Skill Enhancement Pillar represents our partners that provide support for those needing the skills and tools to help get their foot in the door. These individuals typically face struggles due to language barriers or need certain licensing certifications to operate equipment, etc. Our partner organizations can offer English Language Learner (ELL) classes, continuing education, and workforce development. We find it’s important to help bridge the gap to employment for many minorities. These partners invest in the growth and evolution of our neighbors, our community, and our city to increase the quality of life for individuals and their families. Examples of these organizations are Project Azul, Employ Indy, and Indy Reads.

The Service Pillar is reflective of organizations that allow us to engage with our community and make a difference through our acts of service. At Morales Group, we cultivate a culture of service to help those who need it most. These partners connect us to our communities and help us act as immediate support through volunteering opportunities. These opportunities allow us to serve several communities. Some examples of organizations include: Exodus Refugee, Project Stepping Stone, Shepherd Community Center, etc.

Morales Unidos Networks (MUN)Another opportunity is through our Morales Unidos Networks (MUN) which brings together teammates and allies who represent unique experiences, perspectives, and ideas of our diverse global team. Each individual or group plays a key role in the progress we are making to create a dynamic environment climate in which all perspectives are included and valued. The mission behind these networks is to serve the advancement and development of their members, promote cultural awareness, and demonstrate our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the communities where we live and work.

Morales Group has four (4) Employee-led networks: LatinX Community, LGBTQIA+ Community, Sustainability Community, and Women’s Community. These separate networks offer resources to a hugely diverse spectrum of individuals across the Morales Group and Acción Performance teams. All employees are welcome and encouraged to join, participate, or become leaders within the Networks.

Working with YWAM Homes of HopeOne of our truly humbling acts of service comes through our partnership with Youth With A Mission (YWAM), where we’re able to live out our mission of building better lives. Their leading mercy ministry, Homes of Hope, allows us to help make a difference in people’s lives by building homes for families in need in Mazatlán, Mexico. In twenty years of business, we have sent over 360+ team members and partners to help build a total of 23 homes, impacting 100+ lives.

Background on this initiative:
We developed a program called Loving Every Gift of Service (L.E.G.O.S.), where we ask team members and clients to recognize other Morales/Acción teammates and nominate their peers for exemplifying one of our three core values – Be Humble, Be Courageous, Be A Light – while in service of others. These moments are big wins for our team. The nominations are read aloud each month at the all-company meetings, where individuals will be recognized with a LEGO brick that goes into the foundation of building a LEGO house.

By the end of the year, these acts of service culminate into a true replicate of a home we build in Mazatlán. In January and February of this year, we completed home builds #21, #22, and #23. On each trip, we like to send a team of 25-30 selected nominees and partners. The experience is surreal and incredibly humbling to be a part of, continuing as one of our drivers to keep serving each and every day.

We know the importance of giving back to the community and the impact this can have on individuals, their families, and our community. Each of these initiatives encompasses the true spirit of Morales Group Staffing. Through our Outreach Pillars, we can continue providing basic-needs support, skill enhancement, and immediate action through volunteer opportunities. Additionally, our Morales Unidos Network offers resources to a hugely diverse spectrum of teammates across our Morales Group and Acción Performance teams. Through our L.E.G.O.S. program, we can provide the ultimate experience to build better futures by building homes for families in need in Mazatlán, Mexico courtesy of Youth With A Mission (YWAM).

We truly are a cause disguised as a business. Our holistic approach to building better futures, one story at a time for our community isn’t just a tagline – it’s the reason we come to work every day.
