Sustainability in Action

This month’s LEGOS meeting was a special one – where we saw Sustainability in Action.

Each month, we come together as a team to recognize the milestones that matter—welcoming new teammates, celebrating well-earned promotions, and honoring work anniversaries that reflect the dedication and impact of our people.

But this month, in celebration of #EarthDay, we added something a little extra.

Sustainability in Action

Amanda Puckett, our Morales Unidos Networks (MUN) Sustainability Group leader, hosted a creative and purpose-driven event focused on upcycling. Using simple, everyday items—like used tins—we created decorative planters, proving that sustainability can start small, and start now. It was a meaningful, hands-on reminder that the resources we already have can be reimagined in new, impactful ways. Plus, we added some green to our desks while we were at it.

Why Sustainability in Action Matters at Morales Group

At Morales Group, our mission to Build Better Futures One Story at a Time doesn’t stop at people—it extends to the planet. Our Morales Unidos Networks (MUN) were created to empower employee-led initiatives that bring our values to life. The MUN Sustainability Network plays a vital role in that by encouraging environmentally conscious practices across our teams and offices.

From reducing waste and conserving energy to promoting upcycling, reuse, and mindful consumption, the sustainability network is just one way we’re walking the talk when it comes to corporate responsibility.

Earth Day and the Bigger Picture

According to the UN Environment Programme, more than 60% of global greenhouse gas emissions are linked to individual consumption, meaning the choices we make—at home and at work—truly matter.

This Earth Day’s global theme 2025 is “Our Power, Our Planet”.  It calls on individuals and organizations alike to harness the power of renewable energy and sustainable practices to protect our shared future. The goal? To triple global clean electricity generation by 2030 and accelerate the transition away from fossil fuels (EarthDay.org).

It’s a message that deeply resonates with the work happening right here at Morales Group. From cutting down on single-use materials to supporting green commuting options and everyday eco-conscious habits, our MUN Sustainability Network is helping lead the charge toward a cleaner, more equitable planet.

Building Greener Futures—Together

Whether it’s transforming a used tin into a vibrant planter or championing energy-smart solutions in the workplace, we believe sustainability starts with small actions—and grows through collective impact.

We’re incredibly proud of the leadership that Amanda and the MUN Sustainability Network continue to demonstrate. Their efforts reflect a broader Morales Group commitment: supporting not just professional development, but environmental responsibility as well.
