The Value of Teamwork “On and Off the Field”

According to Andrew Carnegie, “Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common vision. The ability to direct individual accomplishments toward organizational objectives. It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results”.

At Acción we believe in the power of the virtue called teamwork. And whether we are “ON the field of play”, a.k.a. within our warehouse fulfilling a project deadline, or “OFF the field of play”, a.k.a. out in the community – the work we do together toward a common goal builds our camaraderie and confidence in one another.

We recently had the opportunity to go out in the community to serve together through ProAct Indy alongside Servants at Work building a wheelchair ramp for a gentleman that was home bound for over a year.

Our team worked TOGETHER, found a solution TOGETHER and built TOGETHER. This meant taking on a new perspective and collaborating with others toward a common goal.

Rob is now able to go outside and enjoy time with his family and I’m proud we could make such a large impact in a single day of service. Be sure to remember the power of teamwork on and off the field.
